Why Choose?
This beautiful woman is Laura's sister, Sara. Her story is incredibly powerful, and it is the foundation for what we do here at Choose. Below is a quick synopsis of her powerful journey of courage and faith and the impact she made for Christ in her brief life.

Imagine…being 22 years old, having a car accident
that flips your life and your future upside down.
Imagine…being in pain for 10 years from the accident with no answers as to why.
Imagine…learning after 10 years that you have a disease called Ankylosing Spondylitis, a disease that painfully fuses your joints together and makes your body immobile.
​
Imagine… being allergic to the medications that could help the pain and the progression of the disease, as you lose your gifts and talents one by one.
​
Imagine…your autoimmune system being so compromised that you can’t fight off infections, illnesses and eventually become allergic to the air outside, leaving you confined to your home.
​
Imagine…the disease accelerating so rapidly that you are no longer able to work, you can’t walk without a walker and you can’t talk without wincing in pain.

Imagine...having your faith radically and dramatically changed in the midst of this nightmare.

Laura Pedersen - Speaker
Laura's background is in Human Resources, leadership development and culture transformation. She is a Speaker, Coach, and Teacher with the John Maxwell Team.
​
In 2011 after losing her dad and her sister, Laura found herself called to continue her sister Sara's spirt-led discipleship of CHOOSE JOY. She also shares her own journey through divorce, loss, and breast cancer.

Jill Miller - Speaker/Worship Leader
Jill has a zest for life that is contagious! Through her songwriting, speaking and writing, she is simply a friend telling her story, hoping it will touch your heart, encourage you in your struggles, and inspire you to keep reaching for your full potential.
She is a Nashville Recording artist and has released 6 CD's to date. She is also a Speaker, Coach and Teacher with the John Maxwell Team.
Rachel Scott - Speaker/Worship Leader
Rachel Scott is a singer, songwriter, worship leader and communicator. She has ministered throughout the country and has opened up for artists like Rebecca St. James, Micheal W. Smith, Sara Groves, Hillsong London and others.
Her passions are communicating the heart of Jesus to the lost and disillusioned.

Julie Nevel - Speaker/Worship Leader
Julie is a seasoned veteran of 20+ years in full-time ministry throughout the U.S. and abroad as a worship leader, singer/songwriter, speaker, concert artist and pianist, and more recently has added author to her credentials.
Julie's powerful music ministry captures listeners with original songs written from the heart and reflecting her own personal experiences.
Namra Pourroy - Blogger
“What now, God?” was the prayer that answered when He sent Namra into fifteen years of ministry and missions, where she loved and led teenagers to a fuller understanding of Christ. A degree in Child Development and a heart for shepherding have equipped Namra for her latest callings: middle school education (yes—we should question her sanity), leading women’s bible studies, and, occasionally, retreat speaking.
Her spiritual gifts of compassion, leadership and teaching, as well as her love of storytelling, are all being put into play as Namra pursues her passion for turning the written word into God-inspired moments and messages.

Aria Stiles Bozant is a fiddle player and stay-at-home mom of 2, Finley and Seraph. Aria is passionate about raising her babies in a gospel centered home and teaching them about God's grace.
She tours around the country and has played with numerous 90's country stars, most notably, Pam Tillis and Lorrie Morgan. Aria is also a Nashville studio musician and teaches violin.

Aris is excited to serve alongside Choose Ministry and love on ladies who are seeking the Lord.
